A Study of the Discrete and the Continuous

Ruled sports have specific spatial requirements; the spaces in which these sports take place operate as discrete units. Running, on the other hand, is a continuous activity. This gymnasium is a consequence of seeing how discrete and continuous elements interact. A running track extends from the sidewalk into the building, circulating through all programs. Sectionally, this running track responds to the height requirements of the discrete programs whereas planimetrically, the discrete programs respond to the continuous element.
