Perimeter Plan II

The initial reading of this project presents a residence hall for 270 students. By limiting the total square footage in conjunction with a limited perimeter length of 960 feet, a relationship emerges between the building shape, fenestration, and interior organization. Dorm room programs allows for and demands the regularization of cellular elements along a building perimeter that force an understanding of the effects specific organizational logics have in interpreting and analyzing the architecture at many scales.
