This research laboratory located in Barstow, California uses calibrated voids to harness the power of the hot desert sun. A series of ten intrusions tracks the average solar paths found in the Mojave Desert, allowing heat and light to reach centrally located greenhouses.
About The Designer
Steven Meyer is a second-year student in the M.Arch I program at the Harvard GSD. He received his B.F.A. from the Boston University School of Fine Arts, with a concentration in production design. Before returning to Boston for his graduate studies, Steven spent four years working in fashion and commercial photography in New York, NY.
