Rare Books Library
Conceived as a sinuous spiral across the Back Bay Fens, this rare books library curves over and then under itself, as it guides visitors through marshland and provides uninterrupted access to the permanent collection of the Boston Museum of Fine Arts Library. As the structure dodges in and out of its surrounding context, elevation change creates opportunity for dramatic programmatic spaces and unique experiential moments.
