Mobile Gallery

Hong Kong Tramways is one of the oldest public transit systems in the city. Running through the heart of the city along Victoria Harbor, these double-decker trams are highly coveted as surfaces for advertisement. This project therefore proposes to introduce a moment for repose and reflection amidst this advertisement-saturated city. The idea is to transform a tram into a mobile gallery. The exterior of the tram becomes a platform for a photography exhibition, while the interior can be used to showcase smaller works of art. Visitors to the mobile gallery will be able use the tram as transportation while enjoying artwork along the way.
